Retrieving e-mail with Netscape Navigator 3.0

This page will teach you how to set up Netscape Navigator 3.0 to retrieve e-mail from your OfficeOnWeb POP accounts. To configure Netscape Mail 3.0, follow the instructions below.

We will use the example of an account with OfficeOnWeb with the following info:
        
Domain name: yourbiz.com
       Userid: youruid
       E-mail: firstinitiallastname@
yourbiz.com

  • Open Navigator and choose "Options" from the menu bar.

  • Choose "Mail and News Preferences".

  • In the "Preferences" dialog box, click on the "Servers" tab.  Fill in the boxes as follows:
            Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server: yourbiz.com or smtp.safepages.com or your ISP
            Incoming Mail (POP3) Server: yourbiz.com
            POP3 User Name:
    youruid

  • Now, click on the "Identity" tab.  Fill in the boxes as follows:
            Your Name:  Your Name
            Your E-mail:  abcdefg@yourbiz.com
            Reply-to Address: firstinitiallastname@yourbiz.com

  • Then click on "OK".
